In an hard work to maintain the revolution to empower females artisans in Mijwan, UP, designer Manish Malhotra showcased his 10th Mijwan couture selection in collaboration with Shabana Azmi and Namrata Goyal past night.
Placing a harmony between the light and the dark, ivory and and black lehengas, sarees and sherwanis took the centre phase as they highlighted the exquisite chikankari handwork accomplished by the girls artisans of Mijwan.
Power few Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone made their to start with at any time showstopper visual appearance on the exhibit. Padukone walked down the ramp in a beautifully embroidered silver and white lehenga with a lace border and a spectacular cape that stole the display. Singh, on the other hand, donned a black sherwani with chikankari white embroidery and a standing collar.
Related with the Mijwan Welfare Modern society for the previous 10 yrs, Malhotra desired to make this year’s celebration a “grand event”. He stated, “I wished the show to search like one important celebration because we are celebrating a little something, especially immediately after the pandemic. So, I desired the apparel to be couture and sparkle extra.”
Between the visitors had been Gauri Khan, who dazzled in a blue saree and was seated with Karan Johar. They also shared a candid second with Singh when he walked the ramp. Genelia Deshmukh, Riteish Deshmukh, Shibani Dandekar and her sister Anusha Dandekar, Javed Akhtar, Boney Kapoor have been also in attendance. Vidya Balan and Raveena Tandon struck a pose at the pink carpet donning ethnic apparel.
Asha Bhosle, Sunidhi Chauhan, Armaan Malik, Dia Mirza, Siddharth Roy Kapur, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Nora Fatehi, Konkana Sen Sharma, Rahul Bose, Ishaan Khatter designer Shaina NC also graced the occasion.
