‘Andor’ trailer explores origins of common ‘Star Wars’ heroes

Diego Luna returns to the “Star Wars” universe in “Andor,” a prequel to “Rogue 1,” which was itself a prequel to “Episode IV: A New Hope.” At this stage in the series, though, the rebellion is but a glint in a youthful Cassian Andor’s eye.
The newest trailer reveals a bit additional about Andor’s evolution from popular thief to galactic martyr and teases what viewers can expect from cast customers Stellan Skarsgård, “Morbius” star Adria Arjona and Forest Whitaker, who reprises his part as the extremist Saw Gerrera.

When we re-meet up with Andor in the trailer, he has infiltrated the Empire (nevertheless it seems the Empire has to start with invaded his property earth), even donning a drab gray Imperial uniform.

A cloaked Skarsgård seems and encourages Andor to “give it all to do something serious” — choose down the Empire, most likely? Whitaker, whose Gerrera has not however been driven totally mad by reduction and that slimy, intellect-melting monster Bor Gullet, seems ready to go to war.

There are the requisite appearances of stormtroopers, TIE fighters and other menacing symbols of the Empire. We meet up with a ruthless officer of the Empire performed by Denise Gough, check out Fiona Shaw’s mysterious character shed a tear and catch a glimpse of the lavish everyday living of Mon Mothma (Genevieve O’Reilly), who, viewers know, will go on to lead a revolution.

Showing up on “Excellent Morning America” to introduce the new trailer, Luna instructed the hosts that his character starts his journey as a “common male” thrown into remarkable situation, anything viewers can relate to.

“It truly is the starting of the origins of a revolution,” Luna explained on Monday. “It reminds us what we’re able of — what we’re all able of.”
