Low temperature can activate our sympathetic nervous system and could increases secretion of Catecholamines. This can lead to constriction of the blood vessels which may increase our heart rate, blood pressure, cholesterol levels, and aggravate the blood clotting process. All these factors may eventually increase the risk of a heart attack.
