NEW DELHI: As taxpayers deal with concerns in accessing the e-submitting portal, the Profits Tax department on Saturday mentioned software program supplier Infosys is taking “proactive measures” to offer with the ‘irregular traffic’ on the portal.
“It has been recognized that taxpayers are struggling with difficulties in accessing ITD e-submitting portal. As informed by @Infosys, they have noticed some irregular targeted visitors on the portal for which proactive actions are remaining taken,” the I-T department tweeted.
The new e-filing portal www.incometax.gov.in, launched on June 7, 2021, had a bumpy begin with taxpayers and experts reporting glitches and problems in its performing. Infosys was given the contract in 2019 to create the portal.
A lot more not too long ago, the portal faced snags on the initially anniversary of its launch and several buyers complained that they ended up not able to log in into the portal, when some complained malfunctioning of the research functionality.
The govt has paid Rs 164.5 crore to Infosys to build the new revenue tax e-submitting portal.
